The GU9 Black team finished an incredible season on Saturday with a 1-0 victory, thus ending our Presidio season with an undefeated 14-0-0 season, and Presidio Champions. An amazing 55 goals for, 5 against and 11 clean sheets. These young ladies also played in four pre season tournaments and were finalists in all four, and Champions in two of them.
As a GU8 team last season that won only two games in Presidio, the accomplishment and turnaround has been a fantastic one. Six players remained from that team and six new players were added. With a strong emphasis on ball skills, player development and hard work the end results are not only satisfying, but well deserved.
A huge thank you to coach Carianne for her assistance this season. To our team manager Jamie Barger and to all the families, you too were instrumental to the success this team has enjoyed this season. It has truly been a season for these ladies to remember and as their coach I could not be any prouder of what they have achieved.
